Application Requirements for Freshman Students

  • Complete our  or the .
  • Submit your official high school transcript.
  • Submit an admissions essay or your SAT/ACT scores. As part of our test-optional admissions process, you may choose between these two requirements. You do not need to submit both.

If accepted to Widener, please note that you must have received your high school diploma or GED equivalent, or be beyond the age of compulsory high school attendance in the state of Pennsylvania or Delaware.

沙巴体育在线投注we understand that your ability to complete an sat or act may be hampered by test cancellations resulting from the covid-19 crisis. that's why, for domestic students who apply for the fall 2021 freshman class, we're adopting a test-optional admissions process.

What is a test-optional admissions process?
This approach will remove a barrier from your fall 2021 application. The way you complete your application is up to you: if you do not wish to submit an SAT or ACT score, you may submit an essay instead. 

How will you evaluate my application?
沙巴体育在线投注 We will holistically review your application based on your transcripts and essay or SAT/ACT scores. Our goal is to identify students who will thrive at Widener and in their intended major. This process will give us the information we need to make an admissions decision while reducing the stress of applying to college during the COVID-19 crisis.
